Homework Policy
Homework is very important. Students are expected to return their assignment on the day that it is due (usually the following day). Time is usually given in class to start an assignment. I will post all daily homework assignments on the board. It is each student’s responsibility to copy the assignments into their planner.
In order to receive full credit, all work must be turned in on time. Late or incomplete assignments will receive a 10% reduction from the final grade. Assignments that do not have a name on them will also receive a 10% reduction. Any paper with scribbled out information will receive a 10% reduction. In my classes, pencil or erasable pen is a must. I expect all work to be completed and look high quality, like a finished product, not a mess!
Students will be assigned an absent partner. This partner will keep track of any work that is missed when a student is absent on an absent sheet. Students should keep their absent sheet until all work has been completed, turned in, and returned with a grade. Absent work must be turned in within a reasonable amount of time-generally one day for each day absent.
By middle school, students have been taught good work and study habits. These years are a time to prepare for High School, so it is important to be ready, responsible, and respectful in the classroom.
