Dress Code
For middle school, grades 6 - 8 students only:
Boys: Khaki uniform pants (all year) or shorts (April 1 – October 14), white polo shirt (long sleeved or short sleeved), light-weight sweater vest (daily mandate) with school logo ordered through Land's End, "Sperry style" shoe available at Famous Footwear on Gratiot, "over-the-ankle", solid white or green sock. Light-weight, pullover, long sleeved sweater with school logo available through Land's End (optional), as an alternative to the vest during winter months. If the temperature is over 75°F, sweaters or vests will not be mandatory.
Girls: Plaid skirt, khaki uniform pants or skorts or shorts (April 1 – October 14) at appropriate times of the school year, white polo shirt (long sleeved or short sleeved), light-weight sweater vest (daily mandate) with school logo ordered through Land's End, "Sperry style" shoe available at Famous Footwear on Gratiot, "over-the-ankle", solid white or green sock. Light-weight, pullover, long sleeved sweater with school logo available through Land's End (optional), as an alternative to the vest during winter months. If the temperature is over 75°F, sweaters or vests will not be mandatory.
Gym uniforms:
- Any non-marking gym shoe is allowed for gym day
- Plain navy sweat pant (October 15 – March 31)
- Plain navy mesh short (April 1 – October 14)
- Gray t-shirt with school logo AVAILABLE IN SCHOOL OFFICE
- Gray Sweatshirt with school logo (optional) AVAILABLE IN SCHOOL OFFICE
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
There will be a designated spirit days where sports and other school sponsored clothing can be worn.
- Make-up is not permitted
- Unusual/extreme hair styles/colors/bleaching are not permitted.
- Stud-type or small hoop earrings may be worn by girls only, multiple earrings are not permitted.
- Make-up or glue on/acrylic nails are not permitted. Clear nail polish is allowed.
- No necklaces are permitted with the exception of religious medals--they may be worn on the inside of shirts/blouses).
- No bracelets are permitted – a single ring on one hand is allowed.
- All girls and boys may wear their Scout uniforms on days that their meetings are held.
- Gym uniforms may be purchased at Harper Sports or Burke's.
- Students in violation of dress code will receive a violation notice and at discretion of administration will call home for a change of clothes.
- Questions regarding acceptability should be referred to school administration.
